To have a healthy life, eating nutritious foods and exercising regularly should be part of your list of the 10 things you should do. But if you develop other habits, you can become much better, be healthy and keep you safe.
Today I decided to make a list with 29 tips that will help you make a change in your life towards a healthy (or at least healthier) life.
All of these tips cover most of all the areas of nutrition and physical activity, but I also cover others that will help you improve your quality of life by 50% or more!
You do not have to implement them all, but the more you do the better!
Decrease your sugar consumption to a minimum or better yet eliminate it from your diet. Instead sweeten it with honey or with natural sweeteners like Stevia .
Eliminate from your diet foods that have in their ingredients High Fructose Corn Syrup , is equal to or worse than sugar.
Eat 5 to 6 times per day. This will keep your metabolism active for longer throughout the day helping you burn unnecessary fat and it will be easier for your body to digest smaller amounts of food.
For your mid-morning meals, do not go for the cookies, chips or cakes. Instead, prepare your own healthy snack or snack.
When cooking, avoid frying your meals, instead bake, grilled, boiled or steamed. Your nutrients will be much better preserved.
If you decide to fry your food, stop using vegetable oils like corn and use something healthier like coconut oil, palm oil or olive oil.
Eat more at home and less outside. When eating homemade food you have better conrol than you eat. And if you eat outside, do these tricks to have better nutrition.
Get used to reading the ingredients of what you buy at the supermarket or food stores. If you do not know the majority choose another option. The same if you have too many ingredients.
Eat fruits every day, at least 2 servings. The other 3 or 2 portions should be vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are the best types of carbohydrates out there, providing you with good quality energy, not to mention the antioxidants and vitamins you get.
Stop eating rice, flour and white pasta and opt for its full version. The extra layer of fribra of whole grain or whole grain foods will allow you, among other things, to keep you satisfied for longer.
Eat fish at least 2 times a week, if you can eat much better salmon. Healthy fish fat will help keep your body working just as the oil in a car allows the car to function properly. Other sources of healthy fat include walnuts, olive oil, peanuts, peanut butter (without sugar) and avocado.
If you eat eggs, whole kitchens and not just the clear. The yolk has most of the egg’s nutrients and vitamins.
When cooking, include spices that help you burn that fat you do not want. Many of them like ginger or garlic help you to speed up your metabolism.
Sleeps 8 to 9 hours per day. Not less. Not only does your mind need to rest, your body as well. It will help you stay optimum during the day and also repair the “damaging” muscles during your workout. If you have trouble sleeping, you can do this trick .
If you like salads and dressings, stop buying dressings at the supermarket and make your own dressing . The market dressings are usually loaded with sweeteners or fats harmful to your health.
Add cinnamon to your meals on a daily basis. Cinnamon is one of the most powerful spices there is, not only helps you burn fat but not control the levels of sugar in your blood.
Avoid using elevators and escalators if you need to raise or lower a few floors. You will activate your body at least a little more than usual.
If you have a job where you have to go in front of a computer, stick a piece of paper on your monitor that reads “Sit down!”. It will help you decrease your back and neck problems.
Take breaks of at least 5 minutes every 30 minutes of continuous work. If you are on a good performance streak, take the break after an hour but do not delay it any longer. When you take the break away from your desk to walk and extend your limbs a little. Take the opportunity to have a nice glass of water/
Start exercising once and for all! If you do not do any exercise I recommend starting with a weightless routine , where you lift only your body weight. If you can subscribe to a much better gym, you will have more psychological pressure to
If you do not do endurance or aerobic exercise like running or jogging, then practice some sport, which you like or less dislike. get organized with friends or get a group of people at work or Neighborhood that usually plays on weekends or weekdays some night or evening.
Just after getting up, spend 5 minutes doing stretching exercises. Stretch well your legs, arms, neck, back, fingers and waist. If you could do a series of 5 to 10 squats it would be great. Doing these short exercises will work wonders on you! You can also do these exercises at the end of the day.
Base your diet on a single ingredient food mix and avoid all the processed food you can. Foods of an ingredient are meats, eggs, nuts, peanuts, fish, fruits, vegetables, legumes, berries, milk, etc. Remember that most of these foods will be on the periphery of the supermarket.
Take at least 1 liter of water a day, better if it were 2 liters. Keeping your body hydrated will help rid you of all the bad toxins you get with your meals.

Drink lots of tea (but hot tea) is much better than any other drink you use to accompany your meals. Your best choice is green tea, but you can also take tea with mint, chamomile, white or black. Cold tea does not count! If you do not like hot tea, choose to accompany your meals with a simple glass of water.
